How long does the design process take?

Once I have all the required details, the timeline typically ranges from 5-10 days depending on the complexity of the design and the number of revisions.

Do you provide stock images?

Yes! Your package includes licensing for any stock images used in the design. If specific stock images are required outside the standard budget, these costs will be discussed and added to your package.

Will my cover be exclusive?

Yes, all covers I design are one-of-a-kind and exclusive to your book. They won’t be reused or resold.

Can I provide my own images or illustrations?

Absolutely! If you have specific images, illustrations, or branding elements you’d like incorporated, let me know. Files should be high-resolution and properly licensed.

What if I don’t like any of the initial concepts?

The design process is collaborative, and the initial concepts are based on the information you provide. If the concepts need significant adjustment, I’ll work with you to refine the design (within the scope of your package).

How do revisions work?

Depending on your package there will be between 2-4 revision rounds included. Each round allows for changes based on your feedback. Additional revisions can be purchased if needed.

What file formats will I receive?

You’ll receive high-resolution files for both print and digital use, typically in PDF, JPG, and/or PNG formats. Additional formats can be provided upon request.

Can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking with 10 days notice free of charge. If you cancel within 10 days of your booking there will be a $50USD cancellation fee. If you cancel once work begins, there is a kill fee of $100USD to cover the cost of the planning, research, and work that has been completed.

What platforms are your final files compatible with?

I provide files formatted for popular print-on-demand platforms like KDP, IngramSpark, and others, as well as eBook platforms like Kindle, Kobo, and Apple Books. If you need specific dimensions, let me know in advance.

Do you use AI to create book covers?

No, Design by KAGE does not use AI software or AI-generated stock images in the creation of book covers. Every design is 100% crafted by me, ensuring a unique, human-made product tailored specifically to your story.

Can I use my cover design for marketing materials?

Yes! Once the design is finalized, you have the right to use it for promotional purposes, including social media, ads, and websites.
